latest brainache, when attempting a campaign of intimidation
by trying to make threatening phone calls to Scottish Socialist
Party activists in the Greenock area, gave promises of fire
bombing their houses and shooting them with a Browning, which
could ofcourse led to him getting his Iron Cross....if
only he hadn't forgot to hide his phone number.
When
arrested in his Hillside Road address, he was found tooled
up with nothing more unsavoury than a handfull of neo-nazis
wank mags and his nob in his hands.

Griffin
gets pie in the eye down south (22 February 2006)
Today in Horsham town centre, Nick Griffin was down visiting
local BNP party members. Angered by the fascist presence on
Horsham's normally genteel streets a small group of local
anti-fascists greeted the ill-fitting suits with a volley
of cream pies.
Together
with a group of 12 supporters they had just finished a photo
op in the pouring rain, looking as washed up as their second-
hand suits. For a leader with pretensions of respectability
Griffin looked less than dignified covered in cake and dirt.
Griffin's
reputation took a further blow as whilst kicking someone on
the ground, he soon found himself rolling over in the dirt.

Front ‘all out’ in Great Yarmouth. (3
December 2006)
“After the court case 20 members of the NF made
their way to Great Yarmouth and distributed 2000 leaflets
advertising our march against immigration next Saturday 2nd
December 06. We had a great response from locals, some asking
for more leaflets, youngsters chanting "Kosovans out".
What will you all be doing next Saturday? We can all think
of a thousand excuses not to be there but I would ask you
all to show Tom Holmes, the National Front and the decent
racial nationalist people of Great Yarmouth your full support.
Drop the excuses and make the trip, you all know it makes
sense! National Front forever!! Form up outside Great Yarmouth
train station at 200pm Saturday 2nd December 06.”
So came the appeal of the great white organiser to the vanguard
pretenders of the great white throne. Terry Blackham had called,
and from the far flung corners of the mighty British Isles
did the loyal servants come. From Kent, from Cornwall, from
Cumbria, from the city’s and the pastoral valleys they
answered the call in their masses…
…….not
many more than 20 of them.
Now
we hate to piss on a party, especially when someone’s
gone to so much effort, but a sorrier shower of shites you
never did see.
Two
Antifa members decided to go along to see what the fuss was
about. Three of the master race were clocked at Norwich train
station sat outside the Police Station. One a peroxide blond
bell-end who normally mutters abuse at black people in Norwich
from the safety of behind his child’s pushchair, the
other two barely 16 years old.
They
were oblivious to Antifa members sharing the train carriage
on its way to Yarmouth. Sadly a one stop train journey prevented
summary punishment being dealt out, aswell as the younger
ones ages and the likelyhood of police at the other end.
When
the train arrived you couldn’t see the fash for the
scores of police. They were spotted in the end hidden behind
their hastely purchased Union Jacks from Great Yarmouth market.
Most of them looked like fat aging boneheads with alcohol
and drug problems.
UAF
protestors turned out, about 15 in all, and on this particular
occasion were especially vocal and in fine piss taking mood,
much to the sadness of our finely turned out vanguard. They
marched along side the fash for the length of the march exchanging
pleasantries until being prevented from going any further
while the National Front had their speeches and toffee apples.
It
was interesting to see the particular route of the march,
along back streets, and a load of roundabouts, nowhere near
the town centre. Not that it mattered much, the general concensus
among the locals seemed to be ‘NF? Fuck em!’ It
was hysterical to see atleast two car drivers beeping their
horns and sticking fingers up at the shower, who seemed to
mistake said abuse for support.
An
Antifa member went walk about to get a closer picture on what
was occurring in the vicinity. There was no second march or
great surge of local ‘racial nationalists’ held
up anywhere ready to make the day a success, just a few fat
old drunks wobbling around the back streets.
While
the UAF protestors were blocked up and prevented from getting
any closer this particular antifascist managed to get within
spitting distance of the National Front by staying away from
the counter protest, and it showed how easy it would have
been, if longer notice had been given, to have an Antifa unit
getting in amongst the stinking rabble and dropping them all
once and for all. There'll be a next time.
If
anything, the day proved one thing. The National Front are
a piss in the wind, and even more embarrassing than the bloody
BPP.

back to your glue bag Terry, do yourself a favour.
Fascist
Holmes banned from his Saturday knock'about. (1st December
2006)
Thomas
Holmes, veteran National Front Chairman was found guilty of
racist abuse by Norwich Crown Court last week, after shouting
‘Paki- go home to Pakistan’ to a woman of Greek-Cypriot
origin, who had asked him to stop putting racist literature
through her door.
Sentencing
Holmes, Judge Daniel Worsley said he had initially made non-criminal
comments advising Mrs Kikis to leave the country if she did
not like its political system, but he then swore and made
“outrageous and criminal” remarks which were “ignorant,
gratuitous and hurtful”.
“It
is sad to see a 76-year-old with no previous convictions in
the dock, even though you are bitter and have shown no remorse
or understanding,” he said.
“I
have said that I am not going to send you to prison but you
need to be punished for this and be seen to be punished.
“I
could sentence you to unpaid, free work in the community along
with younger criminals and a fine of some two or three thousand
pounds, and an order that you pay costs, but you're neither
fit enough for the work and you are on income support so there
is not really any money the court can take from you.
“So,
instead, I will impose a curfew simply as a punishment - a
home imprisonment order as I will call it.”
Holmes
must reside at home between 10am and 10pm on Saturdays and
Sundays for six months.
A

2nd December at 2pm assembling at Great Yarmouth Rail Station.

Signs

Signs
of Hate is a weighty handbook published by Searchlight and
its Operation Wedge project. The aims of Operation Wedge are
laudable “to drive a wedge between disadvantaged and alienated
youth and the race hate groups that prey on them”. The problems
start however with line two of Operation Wedge’s mission statement
“It is substantially funded by the Association of London
Government and supported by many organisations within the
criminal justice system”.
Indeed the logos of some of these organisations appear at
the front of Signs of Hate – the Crown Prosecution Service,
HM Prison Service and the National Probation Service.
That
racist organisations look to exploit the feelings of angry
young people cannot be disputed. However Operation Wedge appears
ignorant of the fact that to many young people the criminal
justice system is one of the main problems they face in life
– it is not part of the solution. As for the Association of
London Government, Class War has only one point to make –
how many people (young, middle aged or old) are satisfied
with the performance of their local authority? Rather than
getting involved in paper projects like this, they really
would be better sweeping the streets.
To
be fair, Collins and Gable actually know their target audience
intimately. Signs of Hate is not aimed at young people themselves
but those who boss them about - probation officers, prison
and police officers, teachers, Crown Prosecution Service employees
and magistrates. The handbook aims to better enable such professionals
to recognise everything from “extremist tattoos” to “coded
hate messages”. In this Signs of Hate is not original – the
American Anti-Defamation League has been producing a similar
guide for law enforcement professionals for some years, as
well as providing information on groups they define as “racist,
pinko or Arab”. Signs of Hate, and indeed Searchlight themselves,
can easily be defined as merely a British version of the ADL
project.
So
what do you get for your £15? There are sections on
fascist symbols, insignia, tattoos, jewellery and clothing.
There are also chapters on some of the coded language fascists
use, and their computer games. Much of this is quite general,
but put together in one place is informative. As with anything
else however, the devil is in the detail. Some extremely curious
assertions are made, and some symbols listed that have nothing
to do with fascism at all. It must be news to ageing skinheads
with spiders web tattoos on their elbows that
“the spider’s web was a code sign for those who had committed
rape on both men and women”.
Some
errors are standard Searchlight exaggeration (the claim of
a 600 strong KKK group in South Wales in the 1990s for example)
as is the typical attempt to merge left and right by linking
the slogan “ACAB” – All Coppers Are Bastards (popular with
lots of people, including here at Class War!) with the fascist
band Skrewdriver.
However, given that this handbook is a tool for those involved
in prosecuting juvenile offenders other mistakes are more
serious – they could cost someone their liberty. Pagan and
Celtic motifs are routinely identified as fascist by Signs
of Hate, something that would come as a bit of a shock to
people who buy jewellery in Ireland or parts of northern Europe,
or who like designs from those parts of the world.
The
popular image amongst skinheads (both anti-racist, non-political
and racist) of a crucified skinhead on a cross is, we are
informed;
“designed
to insult and provoke trouble, this anti-Christian item goes
beyond attacking the usual targets of blacks and Jews. It
insults Churchgoers in the crudest way, reflecting the pagan
beliefs of many young Nazis.”
That
is, putting it politely, a paragraph of poppycock. The crucified
skinhead reflects the way many skinheads feel they are actually
treated by society, and in particular the media. Instead of
recognising this, Signs of Hate repeats the original offence.
That such nonsense is being put in the minds of magistrates
and probation officers by so-called experts is profoundly
worrying.
Matthew
Collins, Gerry Gable and Searchlight have all stated in the
past that they work with the security services and the police.
This alone places them on opposite sides to independent anti-fascist
activists like ourselves.
Signs
of Hate is a reminder that not only do such state compromised
“anti-fascists” have considerable influence over sections
of the criminal justice system, but quite often they do not
know what they are talking about either!
Good
news for antifascists (On the day a nazi died November 2006)
The founder of the hardline Nazi drinking outfit known as
the 'Wolf's Hook White Brotherhood' was stabbed to death at
around 4.00am this morning, Monday November 22nd.
The
Nazi, Mick Sanderson, known as 'Belsen', of Nottingham, was
stabbed to death in a drunken fight with another WHWB member,
John Pakulski who has been charged with murder. Sanderson
was stabbed through the heart.
The
'Wolf's Hook White Brotherhood' have been in existence for
around 2 years, running their own Hitlerite website, and being
closely involved with the 'Nationalist Alliance'.
Apart from hard-drinking, the gang specialise in wearing Nazi
insignia, styling themselves very much on the form of an 'outlaw'
motorcycle club, and sporting Hitlerite and fascist tattoos.
They also claim to have been involved in violence against
ethnic minorities. Details and photos of individual WHWB members
have previously been posted on Indymedia by both antifascists
and by their fellow Nazis.

West
Midlands Antifa remember anti-fascists who fought in Spain
70 years ago. ( 22th November)
On the 70th anniversary of the Spanish Revolution, members
of West Midlands Antifa laid a wreath in remembrance of comrades
who fought in Spain. A plaque commemorating the Birmingham
International Brigade hangs in the Peace Garden which is located
in the centre of Birmingham. It was decided that the location
was more fitting, as opposed to the official ceremony which
took place at the same time outside the Hall of Memory.
With
the worrying rise of local BNP activity, West Midlands Antifa
wanted to reclaim Birmingham’s anti-fascist heritage
and make a direct historical link between then and now, “Britain
has always had a good track record when it comes to fighting
fascism. This is something that we are to be proud of and
it should never be forgotten. People needed to be reminded
of this before they go out vote for the BNP scumbags.”
The
BNP did show up for the official remembrance service that
day and laid wreaths for the war dead. This is something that
sticks in the craw of Antifa members, “I don’t
think that they understand thousands of working class conscripts
died fighting fascism- fighting against what the BNP are a
legacy of. I don’t think they see the hypocrisy of it
all, never mind the amount of people from different ethnic
backgrounds who gave up their lives”.
The
BNP’s motley crew of members who showed up that day
did raise a smile with Antifa scouts, “Is this the best
they can do! Is this the master race - middle age men in cheap
suits, spotty rockers and a couple of wannabe footie casuals.
They also make sure they bring the wife and kids as well -
for protection!”

What
becomes of failed Third Positionist/national revolutionary/national-anarchist

Well
in the case of Troy Southgate they try to take up a musical
career. He is the vocalist in the Netherlands based band H.E.R.R
. – presumably he could not find anyone English to play
with him!
Despite rumours to the contrary the band is not named after
“Allo ‘Allo character Herr Flick of the Gestapo,
but H.E.R.R. apparently stands for Heiliger Europa! Römisches
Reich – catchy or what!
Listening to HERR’s pompously titled second album “Vondel’s
Lucifer – First Movement” is like stepping back
in time. However there are only so many times you can hear
Southgate say the word “forsooth” without either
giggling or imagining the second series of Blackadder.

There
does not seem to be too much point moaning about the acquittal
of BNP leader Nick Griffin and his camp sidekick Mark Collett
on 10 November, on charges of inciting racial hatred. If fascism
could be defeated by BBC exposes or legal machinations, the
BNP would have been dispatched to the dustbin several years
ago.

70th
Anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street (4 October 2006)
Today
is the 70th anniversary of a milestone in working class history
-
the day when Sir Oswald Mosley and his fascist Blackshirts
were prevented
from marching through the East End.
The
video below shows some of the action on the day. If you can
ignore
the "Mr Cholmondley-Warner" commentary, you will
see people doing what they
felt was neccesary to stop fascism.

The
Strange Case of Jason Douglas (22 June 2006)
Anti-fascists
across London have been laughing at the picture of BNP wobble
bottom Jason Douglas, who was snapped invading the pitch last
month when Leyton Orient won promotion at Oxford. Douglas,
who does not appear to have done any running for several years,
is even on the front page of the June issue of the pisspoor
Searchlight magazine.
Back in 1994, Douglas was one of a group of fascists who attempted
to attack Anti-Fascist Action in a pub in Kilburn on the day
of the Bloody Sunday commemoration. With typical fascist intelligence
they got the wrong pub, and the police simply waited until
they had finished attacking a handful of Irish pensioners
nursing pints of Guinness, before arresting the lot of them.
Douglas was jailed for his trouble.
Now rumours reach Class War that during the Oxford pitch invasion,
Douglas managed to thump an Oxford supporter who had been………
attacking one of Orient’s black players.
Surely some mistake????? !!!!!

Gripers Still Complaining (16th June 2006)
Studying
the main internet forum for fascists in the UK, Stormfront
Britain, can be depressing reading. Occasionally however some
odd gems pop up. What to make of the horror experienced by
one fascist who popped down to his local to watch England
play Paraguay, and found his pub “full of ethnics”.
Worse, they were all wearing England shirts!
Put
simply, these racist idiots would complain if black people
did not support England, then they complain when they do.

AFA action. (7th June 2006)
Anti
Fascist Action and members of Anarchist Youth routed a planned
meeting of Nazi bonehead gang, the Celtic Wolves in Dublin
city centre yesterday. What was planned as the first meeting
in Dublin this year for these sad tossers ended in utter humiliation
as anti-fascists first evicted them from their meeting point
in a city centre pub and then proceeded to beat them up and
down O'Connell Street.
Acting
on intelligence, Anti Fascist Action and Anarchist Youth rumbled
a "national meeting" of the Celtic Wolves in a Dublin
city centre pub yesterday. Four boneheads were confronted
in a city centre pub and after a brief but frank discussion,
the boneheads acted on the anti-fascists advice to abandon
their meeting and leave the pub. But not before the fascists,
far from being hostile witnesses, readily divulged their personal
details to their interrogators while trying desperately to
maintain control of their bodily functions, it seemed! For
this, AFA would like to thank them for helping us with our
enquiries.
Emerging
from the pub, the fash were provided with an escort to O'Connell
St. AFA is aware that following the 'Love Ulster' fiasco especially,
the mean streets of Dublin can sometimes be less than accommodating
to the national socialist element in the North who supported
that particlar outing. So we were a little concerned at how
four boneheads openly sporting Nazi t-shirts and badges might
be received. The bones seemed not to appreciate our concern
and on reaching what they presumed to be the 'comfort zone'
of a packed O'Connell St felt confident enough to shout something
about "red scum" before high-tailing it towards
the Liffey.
Enticed
by the prospect of further political debate, anti-fascists
followed. Disaster was then heaped upon disaster for these
specimens of the master race as they were repeatedly battered
as they attempted to evade further attention. The final ignimony
came when two of them, having abandoned their comrades to
their fate, jumped into a taxi and to a hoped-for speedy exit
from the fray.
Unfortunately
for them,not quickly enough. Stuck in traffic and with the
windows rolled down, the bones suffered a barrage of blows
from anti-fascists. Sometimes they just make it too easy.
On a serious note, yesterday's meeting had been in the planning
stages for quite some time. Posters to the internet bulletin
board, Name of site removed by indymedia editor in line with
our "no platform" policy, have been angling to spend
some "quality time" in public together as a chance
to get out from behind their computers. They recently achieved
this with some degree of success with a booze-up in Cork but
only because of the presence of overseas visitors. Yesterday's
events wil no doubt represent a serious setback to future
attempts at organising. Albeit that one of yesterday's number
was dealt with by AFA on a previous occasion out at UCD, we
are cnfident that it will be a long time before these clowns
recover enough to gather "forces" from across the
country in Dublin anytime soon.
As
mentioned, these idiots were more than helpful in providing
information about themselves, but if anybody has further information
on them (photos to follow). AFA would like to hear about it.
If any of the 'victims' of yesterday's meeting should be reading
this, the Lost and Found section at AFA would like to point
out that certain items of property can be reclaimed through
the usual channels. This does not include your dignity, obviously.
Maybe we could meet up for a drink and you might get to actually
finish your pints on this occasion.

Meeting Smashed! (7 June 2006)
On Tuesday the 30th May 2006, a number of anti-fascist activists
stopped a meeting of the fascist BNP.
Half
an hour in to speeches by David Exely and Nick Cass the meeting
was thrown into chaos when a number of half bricks flew through
the windows showering the speakers with glass and debris.
The
meeting was being held in a pub in Starbeck, North Yorkshire
an area where the fascists felt safe enough to hold meetings
without security. This action is a warning that no fascists
are safe anywhere in Yorkshire and any fascist activity may
be targeted at anytime...beware!

BNP
Not ITA in Crawley! (23 April)
Today
the BNP in Crawley, who have recently gained branch status,
were prevented from holding a pre-arranged press conference
at Crawley railway station. A photo-op of them canvassing
in the two wards where they are standing in May’s local
election, Ifield and Southgate, also failed to materialise
due to pressure from local anti-fascists.
Two
BNP activists had just finished introducing themselves to
the awaiting media at the railway station when anti-fascist
arrived on the scene. Unfortunately the BNP didn’t hang
around to judge public reaction to their presence and were
last seen scuttling into their car, and out driving out of
the area.
The
planned canvassing in Ifield was similarly ill-fated. The
BNP had barely got out of their vehicles before they were
back in them. The parting gesture of one of their canvassing
team was to honk his horn and shout “Wankers!”
to passers-by at the shopping parade – a sure vote winner!
Well done to all those who turned up at such short notice.

As
most people who read NOW or NEVER! are aware, the country
recently had to endure the media focusing on an assortment
of fascist half-wits and their muppets being paraded in front
of the cameras, whilst being dragged up in front of the courts,
both in the UK and in Austria. Yes Nick Griffin and Mark Collett
who were found not guilty on various charges and are up for
retrial, probably in August, and holocaust denying toff inadequate
David Irving who was sentenced to three years, have all been
spotlighted and granted air time, and it’s unlikely
it’s given their lunatic politics anything more than
a boost.
So
is it just the state run media who play into their hands?
Sadly not. We can look a lot closer to home at the so-called
‘left-wing’ to see a sad and scarily inept supposed
‘revolutionary’ organisation and it’s allies,
who just can’t stop holding up billboards advertising
the likes of the BNP.
Yes
folks it’s our old friends the SWP and their assortment
of beards and sandals that are the coalition of the UAF.
Now
I can hear screams of sectarianism etc from a large audience
as I write, but to be sectarian you need to have something
in common, and quite frankly I find myself these days with
more in common with the average BNP voter than I do with the
SWP. And before you holler, I’m talking about the average
voter as opposed to the lunatics who sell the BNP papers on
the street.
How
many people who have gone up to a ballot box and have voted
BNP were previously life long ‘Labour’ voters
now disillusioned with the state of the left today? How many
of these voters have serious issues they want addressing in
their local communities, but have found the only organisation
that takes up these are the BNP? And I’m not talking
about the race issues we know the BNP pretend they are NOT
feeding off, I’m talking the real blood and guts that
nobody seems to want to address such as filthy streets and
apparently unsafe estates and the lack of support for the
elderly. The kind of issues the fascist leadership of the
BNP have so cleverly and opportunistically sunk their gamy
teeth into, as have their counterparts all across Europe.
Imagine
watching this stuff going on, and the elderly couple or the
out of work miner (yes them too) observing the nice man from
the BNP apparently working hard for the community running
up to election time…..and then receiving a leaflet through
the door, courtesy of the SWP and their allies stating ‘DON’T
VOTE BNP, DON’T VOTE NAZI!
Mmmm.
I’m sure the older person, who remembers WW2 is going
to say two bloody words to being told the nice man from the
BNP is a Nazi……as well as the implication that
they are themselves ‘Nazis’ if they go out and
vote for them.
‘FUCK
OFF!’ are the two words that spring to mind!
This
kind of literature is useless and often causes more harm than
good. In recent years where exactly has it done any good?
It hasn’t! In fact in most places that RESPECT have
electioneered, alongside leaflet campaigns from the SWP and
UAF, the BNP actually have succeeded in gaining ground. RESPECT
themselves with that self publicist money making machine George
Galloway, have had to depend on single issue politics in a
predominantly Muslim area to actually gain any success. That,
we can rest assured, will not be repeated at the next election,
due to Galloway making his financially lucrative book signing
appearances across the globe and his humiliating TV appearance
recently (of which we shall mention no more) instead of campaigning,
organising and fighting for each of the constituents who elected
him.
It
is not trying to get idiots like the RESPECT/SWP/UAF fiasco
elected into the House of Commons people should be concentrating
on, it’s keeping the fascists of the BNP out!
People
no longer want to read the crap that comes through their letter
boxes with promises and blame. They want to see the problem’s
in their community’s being addressed practically and
in a hand’s on way. Anarchists need to be spending more
of their time helping their local communities and people ,
as opposed to stopping the traffic by lying in the road campaigning
for some issue the populace don’t have a clue about.
All this does is piss the locals off when they are trying
to get home after a hard days graft!
The
leaflets not only alienate they are insulting. While they
accuse those who might deliberate upon voting BNP of out right
Nazism the authors share platforms and podiums with an assortment
of extreme right wing fundamentalists from the likes of Hizb
ut-Tahrir and other lunatic fringes. Their hypocrisy is disgusting
and is in itself only likely to increase the BNP vote.
Not
to mention the fact that whoever in the SWP Central Committee
writes this crap needs to educate themselves on the differences
between Nazism and Fascism.
If
the idiots behind these leaflets really believe they have
the slightest understanding of the views and realities of
the average person living on a working class estate, some
body needs to market ‘anti-trot ice-picks’ at
cut price so we can put them out of their misery.
Anybody
serious about combating fascism and cutting out the BNP cancer
needs to walk away from the likes of the SWP/Respect and the
UAF and get active in their communities. They need to take
a serious look at why Griffin and his lapdogs have gained
the ground they have in recent years.
They need to make sure they stop screaming ‘Ban the
BNP…Ban the Nazis’ and resurrect the old tradition
of NO PLATFORM!
We
should oppose the idea of proscribing rightwing groups, because
at the end of the day, we too will be shut down and targeted,
but at the same time we should reserve the right to batter
these idiots wherever and whenever they raise their vile heads,
and make sure our streets are clear of this scum. And that
goes for ALL bigoted racists organisations irrespective of
what ‘ethnicity’ they belong to!

April Fools (10 April 2006)
The
BNP chose the 1st April to claim on their website that Nick
Griffin had survived an attempt on his life by “Swedish
Communists”, whilst in the country to meet members of
the fascist National Democrats.
The claim that a bomb had been found on a train on which Griffin
was travelling soon unravelled to a position where a hoax
device was dumped near a train station. As for “Swedish
Communists” we can only assume that Griffin had been
visiting museums on his holiday!

CLEAN UP BRAMLEY (22 January 2006)
No
sign of the Nazi British People's Party in the Leeds area
they claim as their 'own'.
Over the past weeks, the Nazi ‘British People’s
Party’ (BPP) have been claiming that they are regularly
leafleting the Bramley area of Leeds, where BPP Fuhrer ‘Unsteady
Eddy’ Morrison plans to stand in the next elections.
They have been boasting how they are getting a good reception
from the people of Bramley, and that their posters and stickers
are not being ripped down or torn off. In response to this
The 635 Group decided to organise a ‘Clean Up Bramley’
day.
On
Saturday 21st January, a 40 strong group of antifascists spent
4 hours leafleting Bramley with a hard-hitting anti-BPP message.
The leaflet distributed exposes the BPP for the pitiful sect
of Hitler-worshipping nut-cases they are. Local people read
the leaflet with interest, and we got a good response, but
the most common question asked was, “Who the hell are
the BPP?” So much for their alleged propaganda initiative
in Bramley! Now, local people know who these vermin are ahead
of Morrison’s lies in the May elections, and they know
not to trust a word he says.
Despite
the BPP’s claims to have been leafleting Bramley each
Saturday, we saw no sign of them, no sign of their posters,
and no sign of their stickers except a couple that had been
torn off. We saw no sign of BPP National Secretary Kevin Watmough
either, not even when we leafleted his house, nor of Morrison
himself, nor of any of the other handful of fascists who live
in the area. And by the way Kevin, the kids on your street
think you’re an idiot and a wanker.
After
struggling from farce to farce, the BPP appear to be on the
ropes, they have failed to draw support from other fascist
groups, sacked their own Chairman, are in financial dire straits,
and recently lost their Leeds mailbox because of protests
organised by The 635 Group. Morrison himself, an ageing alcoholic,
is back on the booze, and increasingly drawing only derision
from his Nazi comrades, while the UK section of fascist forum
VNN, which the BPP control, has barely drawn a post all week.
Months
ago, the BPP were promising a mass rally and meeting in West
Yorkshire for January, but the date for this kept being changed,
and the rally has now been cancelled. If the BPP are able
to get it together at all, we expect an even smaller collection
than usual of the ugly, middle-aged little men that make up
this sickening Nazi cult. Despite this, we remain ever vigilant,
and committed to oppose all fascist groups whenever, and however,
they organise. By all means necessary.

Who
Are The British People’s Party?
The
so-called British People’s Party (BPP) are not a party
for the British people at all. What they are is a small bunch
of Hitler-worshipping fascist cranks intent on lying to and
manipulating people while keeping their real agenda secret.
The BPP are an insult to anyone’s intelligence.
Until
recently the tiny BPP was called the ‘White Nationalist
Party’, but they were unable to register that name with
the Electoral Commission, so they began calling themselves
the Nationalist Alliance. After 2 months, they were already
squabbling, and after a split the BPP was set up. Two months
later, the BPP’s own chairman left after yet another
falling out, with the new leadership now accusing him of sexual
misconduct and mental instability, and him accusing his usurpers
of stealing party funds. The new Fuhrer of this shower is
Eddy Morrison, who has repeatedly been accused of being, among
other things, a drunken and corrupt police-informer, who would
sell his own mother for beer-money.
Hitler’s
Dog
Morrison
hopes to win political power in Bramley this year, and will
say whatever he thinks is necessary to get people to vote
for him, he is a twisted and ruthless individual. Even Morrison’s
fellow Nazis know that he is a man who cannot be trusted.
Like
the rest of the BPP leadership, Morrison is obsessed with
Adolf Hitler, the Nazi dictator our parents and grandparents
fought World War 2 to destroy. On fascist internet sites he
calls himself ‘Wolf 88’ after Hitler’s dog!
The 88, with which Morrison also signs his posts, stands for
‘Heil Hitler’ (H being the 8th letter of the alphabet.)
Morrison is a sad fantacist and a fascist bigot, his ravings
have no relevance whatsoever to ordinary people in Bramley.
Don’t be fooled.

Morrison’s
own lapdog is Kevin Watmough, another swastika-wearing ‘Master
Race’ fantacist, who can’t even dress himself
properly. Like Morrison he has a track-record of involvement
in cowardly racist violence, though as with all these BPP
idiots, they can bark, but find it easier to run than bite.
Take one look at any of this pitiful fascist sect, and ask
yourself if they measure up as the ‘master-race’
of their bedroom fantasies, or if they are more like the cast
of the film ‘Deliverance’, a pathetic and shambling
bunch of mentally subnormal degenerates and perverts.
The
BPP In Bramley
That
is the reality of the so-called ‘British People’s
Party’, just the latest bunch of fascist morons on the
block. They are hoping to exploit poverty and neglect in Bramley,
to recruit teenagers to their twisted Hitler-worshipping cause.
What possible relevance could the insane ravings of a dead
German dictator have to working-class people in Bramley? Don’t
trust the Nazi BPP, don’t be fooled by them, and don’t
let them near your kids. Recently they have been boasting
about how their stickers and posters are not being ripped

on Bramley, which they hope to build on in the next election.

Following
protests by antifascists in West Yorkshire, Mail Boxes Etc
(MBE) have today announced that they will be terminating their
contract with the Nazi ‘British People’s Party’
(BPP). The decision follows last week’s picket of the
company’s Great George Street office, organised by The
635 Group, which was attended by around 25 people, and protests
to the company from Indymedia readers and businesses who do
not want to share an accommodation address with the loathsome
BPP.
The
closure of the BPP’s accommodation address is a significant
victory for antifascists, and the first step in closing down
this Hitlerite sect once and for all.
In
view of today’s victory, the second picket of MBE's
offices, planned for later this week will now be cancelled,
but antifascists will remain vigilant as to who is doing ‘dirty
business’ with the Nazi BPP.

for the BNP’s day of action. Sadly the combined genius

Nazis In Leeds – Antifascists Picket BPP Mailbox
Today
West Yorkshire antifascists picketed the Leeds address used
by the Nazi British People’s Party (BPP) - Suite 267
at 57 Great George Street, Leeds LS1 3JA. This is actually
a mailbox provided by a company called Mail Boxes Etc (UK)
Ltd, who have provided addresses for, in turn, the White Nationalist
Party, the Nationalist Alliance, and now the BPP. The company
specialise in providing ‘prestige’ accommodation
addresses for small businesses, though we doubt that too many
companies would think it prestigious to be sharing an address
with virulently racist Hitlerite nut-cases like the BPP.
Today’s
picket was organised by The 635 Group, who are affiliated
to the militant anti-fascist network Antifa (www.antifa.org.uk).
Around 25 people attended what was expected to be a peaceful
protest. That was until local fascist scumbag Tony White drove
past, and shortly after two thugs, one armed with a knife,
tried to attack the picket. They were however summarily dealt
with, and scuttled away to lick their wounds in whatever gutter
they had crawled out of.
Despite
the minor disruption, more than 300 leaflets were given out
during the protest, and the response from the general public
could not have been better, with a number of people going
into Mail Boxes Etc (MBE) to challenge the manager’s
decision to continue providing the fascist BPP with a Leeds
address. Several people who were collecting mail also said
they would be cancelling their contract with MBE, rather than
share an address with Nazis.
Recently
MBE branches in both Belfast and Brighton have taken a welcome
decision not to play host to fascists, but so far the Leeds
branch have refused to reconsider their position, despite
being shown documentation on the BPP and their fascist activities.
In view of that the 635 Group will be organising further protests.

Why
We Are Here
We
are here today to protest about the continued provision of
a mailbox at this address for the Nazi ‘British People’s
Party’(BPP).
Who
Are The BPP?
Until
recently the BPP were called the White Nationalist Party,
but because they cannot register such an openly racist name
with the Electoral Commission, they changed it. Their politics
however, have not changed, they remain a Nazi Hitlerite party
with the most vile and repugnant views on Jews, Muslims, black
people, gays, and the Holocaust. They use fascist insignia,
give Nazi salutes, promote race hatred, and are virulent supporters
of Adolf Hitler.

Watmough
Jackboot
and Lederhosen fetishist
The
BPP mail is picked up by their National Secretary Kevin Watmough.
A long-standing Hitler supporter who likes to wear Nazi regalia,
Watmough, has numerous convictions for racial violence and
for attacks on fascism’s ‘political opponents’.
He is also responsible for setting up and maintaining race
hate internet sites ‘Redwatch’ and ‘The
White Nationalist Guestbook’, as well as the ‘Combat
18’ site and the BPP’s own fascist website. The
language on these sites is so vile that reproducing it on
a leaflet would break the law, suffice to say that they contain
a level of racist hatred that would make decent people feel
physically sick and wonder why the authors are not held in
an institution for the criminally insane.
What
About Free Speech?
Fascists
like the BPP do not believe in ‘free speech’.
Their Mailbox address is not used for philosophical discussion,
it is used for organising race-hatred, promoting violence,
and for selling Nazi merchandise. We are here today to expose
the so-called British People’s Party for the hardline
Nazis that they are, and to ask Mail Boxes Etc to terminate
their contract with them as the company has already done in
Belfast and Brighton.

One
of the more common activities that English fascists engage
in is support for Ulster loyalists. All that waving of union
jacks, and discriminating against Catholics seems to impress
the average English fascist, who is after all delighted to
find any evidence that there are others out there as bigoted
as he.
Whilst browsing some Loyalist websites recently we came across
the site of the tiny London Loyal Orange Lodge - the William
Alexander Memorial Loyal Orange 1689. Sadly Brother Alexander
himself is no longer with us, having departed to that great
orange lodge in the sky. His memorial website though leaves
us with a flavour of the type of man he was:

The sudden death of BNP founder John Tyndall will be met a
mixture of wry smiles, cheers and guttural laughter amongst
anti-fascists everywhere. The founder and fomer leader of
the British National Party, Tyndall had spent the last few
years of his life attempting to regain control of the party
he had founded, from the man he had brought in to the organisation
as his eventual succesor - Nick Griffin. Griffin's decision
not to hang around, but to oust Tyndall in 1999, provoked
a sulk of Ted Heath proporations.
A life long fascist, Tyndall was frequently pictured in his
younger days in full nazi uniform, hamming it up at nazi camps
in rural England in the early 60s. Such pictures were reproduced
so frequently it was easy to forget that Tyndall was in many
ways closer to the old Tory racist right than the neo-nazi
right. This prompted one fascist opponent of his to comment
"the problem with John Tyndall is not that he is a nazi
pretending to be a Tory, but that he is a Tory pretending
to be a nazi!"
Although
Tyndall occasionally made overtures towards figures in the
Conservative party (most famously Alan Clark) they came to
nothing, indeed Clark complained that the Italian restaurant
in Victoria where Tyndall had tried to wine and dine him was
"appalling". It was only after Tyndall lost the
BNP leadership that Conservatives began voting for, and joining
the BNP in anything like significant numbers.
Two elements perhaps characterised Tyndall as a political
leader - his ability to make a tubthumping, rabidly racist
speech that would please the BNP rank and file, and his inability
to spot any agent provocateur or spook in and around his circle,
under virtually any circumstances. From Ray Hill, through
to Eddy Morrison, Tim Hepple, Mark Cotterill and Peter Rushton,
Tyndall missed them all. It was this type of "leadership"
that ensured that the British far-right remained one of the
weakest in Europe. For that we should be grateful.
Tyndall's main strategy as BNP leader was to hold marches
and paper sales, and to stand in elections. From this, he
expected the organisation to snowball into a mass organisation
that would control first the streets of Britain, then its
corridors of power. Instead the BNP were simply flattened,
on a regular basis from one end of the country to another,
as anti-fascists took the battle to them. By the early 1990s
Tyndall was still advocating an approach that most of his
party members knew, from painful experience, was unworkable.
One of his last tub thumping speeches - exposed in the BBCs
"Secret Agent" documentary earlier this year - led
to a charge of inciting racial hatred, which saw Tyndall clogging
up the courts again with his plummy voice, combover and permanently
outraged tone. It could well be the stress of that case, plus
his explusion from the BNP, proved to much for someone who
was after all in their early 70s.
If so it is worth remembering that John Tyndall died of natural
causes - had he ever come to power he had a far worse fate
in store for many of us!

have just returned home after spending the last couple of
days with OUR Birmingham organiser. A lovely young lady, and
true nationalist. Also the single parent of FIVE lovely WHITE
CHILDREN.
Last
week she was attacked and beaten up by a drug dealing scumbag
who had broken into her home. He became even more violent
when she tried to stop him burning her much prized flag!
Upon
my arival I first noticed that every window of her house has
been broken. When she let me in, I was terribly disturbed
to see a shadow of the comrade I once knew. two black eyes,
a busted open forehead, bruises and cuts everywhere. The only
thing that has not been broken is her spirit, and strength
of beliefs.
It
wasn't long before the house was under attack, I was in the
front garden with a pick axe handle attempting to deffend
her, but found myself under attack by 10 - 12 pieces of crap
throwing bricks, bottles, bits of wood, car parts, the lot.
They continued until the police arrived, the police don't
give a shit.
If
ever I needed evidence of how far this country has sank, this
is it! Don't get me wrong, I knew things were shit. But this
is too much. No surrender. Here is the first of many battles
we MUST WIN! HAIL VICTORY!”.

News
about anti-fascist struggle of anarchists in Bialystok/Poland
During last three months there has been serious intensification
of nazi activity in Bialystok. Local anarchist squat DeCentrum
had been attacked on numerous occasion as well as few local
anarchist in new wave of nazi activity which seems to be strongest
in last three years. Anarchists are confronted by new group
of nazis, obvioulsy bit better organized and bit older than
those they faced before.
Despite of being outnumbered by nazi scum, anarchists are
putting brave resistance and trying to organize responses
to nazis as often as possible. Just as an example of what
is happening: in last
week of April 3 person strong anti-fascist patrol encountered
7 person strong group of sieg-hailing
proofs that birth control should be introduced as quickly
as possible. After moment of consideration anti-fascists decided
to attack enemy and after short fight nazi scum were running
away, while one of them fell unconsciouss and had to be taken
by ambulance. This is almost
daily reality now in our city. Whilst anarchist manage to
counter actions of nazis very succesfully, this is becoming
serious problem for all alternative community in Bialystok,
because while elections are coming and there are many more
issues that has to be dealt with, we are stuck
devoting most of our energy to fighting nazis. This is mainly
due to fact that combat part of antifa
includes only dozen or so of people with bit more folks helping
occasionally, while nazis can muster usually three times this
number. Also by nature being complete idiots , they sole activity
is attacking us, while we have few bigger enemies, inlcuding
State and Capital.
In present situation we are forced to launch an appeal for
help.There are few things you can do:
- First of all folks in Antifa needs encouragment. There is
no better morale boost for the crew than receiving few e-mails
and letters from other anarchists and anti-fascists from other
countries, describing their own succesful actions and sending
greetings.
- Second of all money support while not compeltely necessary,
would be very handy. If you feel like sending us few notes
of foreign currency, you can be sure your money will be put
to a good use, either by buying essential equipment or being
spent on well-aimed propaganda.
- Third of all, if you have an experience with this kind of
things (i.e bashing fascists) and you feel you would like
to help more and have some free time, why not to take trip
to Bialystok?

'Love Music Hate Racism', 'Unite Against Fascism' - Great
sounding slogans, but unfortunately, just like 'Globalise
Resistance', the organisations that currently use these names
are nothing more than parasitic and opportunist 'front' groups
for the Socialist Workers Party - The bunch of idiots who
told us to vote for Blair in 1997, and are now telling us
to vote for 'Respect' - a pseudo-party that hold sexually
segregated meetings, who are in favour of racially segregated
schools, and who have ditched any pretence at pushing a socialist
agenda in order to court right-wing bigots, muslim fundamentalists,
anti-abortionists, and people who think Queer men and women
should be executed.
The
SWP have never had any genuine interest in fighting fascism,
they have even collaborated with fascist groups - In Leeds
they used to alternate paper sales with the British National
Party and National Front. But by setting up front groups under
their control - the Anti-Nazi League, Unite, LMHR - they hope
to recruit the gullible into their party and raise an awful
lot more money than they ever would putting on gigs as the
SWP. They are using racism in much the same way as the BNP,
the Tories, or New Labour.
The
musicians playing tonight are just trying to do something
to fight racism, it's not their fault they've been conned
by slick opportunists who have more varieties than Heinz -
All unfit for human consumption - But you should be asking
where all the money is going, Unite have 3 benefit gigs on
in West Yorkshire alone this weekend, and dozens more across
the country - Is it just going on a few politically incoherent
leaflets? Of course not. Racism is big business for the scumbag
leadership of the SWP.
Leeds
has a history of real militant anti-fascism stretching back
to the days of Oswald Mosley's fascist 'blackshirts' - The
SWP have nothing whatsoever to do with that tradition, nor
with the fight that is still going on today, a fight being
carried forward by The 635 Group, the northern arm of the

Bricked! Nick Griffin on the Shelf!
A
large BNP (British National Party) meeting was held in a village
called Shelf just outside Halifax on Easter Sunday (27/03/05).
The BNP leader, Nick Griffin was present at the meeting, and
on the agenda was party strategy for the May elections, and
also the demonstration coinciding with Nick Griffin answering
his bail at Halifax police station on April 6th.
At
short notice, a mobilisation was organised to counter the
meeting. Due to police presence on the day, the response to
the meeting would have to be short and sweet. So thirty anti-fascists
pulled up outside the meeting and within seconds were hurling
half bricks and rocks at the BNP security, who ran inside
the meeting hall. BNP activists cars were smashed (most car
insurance doesn't cover vandalism). Job done, and a quick
getaway was made. No injuries, or arrests made.

Where
There’s Brass, There’s Muck Slinging
February saw the very funny internal dissension’s inside
the BNP continue. Those loyal to Nick Griffin have produced
a website called Tyndall Exposed. Those hoping for raunchy
shots of veteran fascist John Tyndall are to be disappointed
however. The site concentrates on the gaffes, contradictions
and failings of the BNP founder. How odd that so few of his
former comrades noticed these failings in the 16 years he
was BNP leader, and how downright perverse virtually nobody
saw fit to say anything at the time.
From the Tyndall side comes “The Griffin File”
a series of quotes either from or about Nick Griffin. This
sets out to expose the one-eyed king as a liar, hypocrite,
and worse of all “a mini-Churchill for the BNP!”
Never has so much abuse been thrown about by so many, about
so little.
Whilst these spats are entertaining for anti-fascists, they
are little more than that. The Tyndall faction, allied around
a 70 year old, contains so many spooks and has-beens, that
victory is beyond it, at least for as long as Griffin keeps
winning elections and recruiting large numbers of new members.
The Griffin faction do not need to smash the Tyndall faction,
merely to hold onto what they have. They almost certainly
will.
Those hoping the BNP will destroy itself will be disappointed.
As anti-fascists, we cannot expect the BNP to do our job for
us.

Fascists
Boneheads in Train Accident
After
a lot of confusion and last minute date changing (no doubt
to keep anti-fascists off the scent), the National Front (NF)
finally decided to have their march in Woolwich on Saturday
15th January. The march was held to stir up racial tensions
following the horrible murder of white teenager Terry Gregory
last year. His family have repeatedly said they want nothing
to do with the NF or their politics. This was the one-year
anniversary of Terry's death, with the NF also holding a march
last year.
One
group of anti-fascists spotted two particularly ugly and badly
dressed boneheads and followed them onto a train heading towards
their meet up point. At the next stop, the boneheads were
made to feel extremely 'uncomfortable' on the train and one
fascist would later turn up to the march looking more than
a little worse for wear. One anti-fascist sustained an injury,
from the fascists attacking his fists with their faces!
The
NF later held their march, bringing out thirty members (almost
half last year's total) and the Unite Against Fascism picket
had around a hundred, with similar numbers of police. No arrests
were made.

Footballer
Paulo Di Canio has never hidden his right-wing beliefs, talking
about his support for Mussolini, and his collection of Mussolini
memrobilia in his autobiography.
Despite this when he was in the UK Di Canio seemed to be adopted
as a bit of an icon, especially by the trendy lefties at Philosophy
Football, who sell various football shirts with Marx, Guevera,
Camus, Bob Marley, Oscar Wilde etc on the back.
After Di Canio's autobiography came out, Class War wrote to
Philosophy Football pointing out he was a fascist, and promoting
him as an icon may be a bad idea. They did not reply, but
appear to have quietly removed his shirt from their website.

A Battle for Hearts and Minds
News
Flash: Apparently, normally mundane activities such as worshipping
Rudolph Hess can be made more appealing if supported by a
few badly played power chords.
In
September 2004 a fascist record label in the United States
claimed to be producing 100,000 CD samplers of 'white power
music' for concentrated distribution throughout disaffected
white communities across America - from coast to coast, in
every state. These CDs are to be handed out in middle schools,
high schools, university campuses, shopping malls, sporting
events, mainstream concerts, parties, and via direct-mail
schemes.
Although
the concept of grown men skulking around schoolyards is disturbing
enough on its own, the express aim of the propaganda drop
is to lure white youth 'between the ages of 13-19' into the
fascist movement. They have a name for their initiative: 'Project
Schoolyard USA'. According to their own estimate, 20,000 CDs
have already been pressed and shipped, while an additional
20,000 are reportedly on the way.
As
expected (and eagerly anticipated by the fascists), the hysterical
media and liberal lobby machines have gone into overdrive
hyping the situation, inadvertently adding fuel to the fire.
The
>negative yet newsworthy representation of 'skinheads'
is on the upswing again.
Fact
is, these fascists aren't proper skinheads at all. They exhibit
no lineage to the traditional merits of true skinhead culture,
one that is rooted in working class pride and ethics that
vehemently reject prejudice. Anti-fascists commonly refer
to the fascist variety of the shaven crop as 'boneheads'.
They've got nothing on real skinheads and hardcore kids of
the street. Ultimately, they are the enemy of anyone who cares
about the welfare of their scene and broader community.
To
this effect, Insurgence has set up its own project to combat
the influence of their opportunistic bullshit: Project Boneyard
USA. The aim is to counter the cancerous quick-fix ideas and
selfish motives of these sideshow hucksters. We're motivated
to take action here, not simply because they sully the name
of real skinheads in their bid for mainstream acceptance,
but because they push their empty-headed propaganda on disenfranchised
white kids. This social group is OUR natural constituency
- not theirs.
We
call on real skinheads and anti-fascists everywhere to remind
these chumps where their place is. In the dustbin of history!

for manipulation, we are offering a free music sampler of

Battle
of Trafalgar Cancelled!
Sunday
25th July had, if you believe the papers and some of the more
lurid internet chatrooms, promised a battle royal in central
London. The "weirds with beards" of Al-Mujihiroun
had called an Islamic rally for Trafalgar Square that afternoon.
The fascists of the National Front called a counter-rally.
Class War recognises the NF and Al-Mujihiroun as threats to
our community. Although they profess to hate each other, they
share remarkably similar views towards women, trades unions,
socialists and other ethnic groups. They are two sides of
the same coin. Indeed about the only thing wrong with the
term "Islamic-Fascism" when discussing groups like
Al-Mujihiroun is that Richard Littlejohn uses it!
Class
War soon got involved when the new anti-fascist group Antifa
called a demonstration in opposition to both fascist groups.
On the day however the fearsome Islamic warriors of Al-Mujihiroun
failed to show, as they did not have legal permission for
their event. Such much for not obeying man made laws!
First
in the square in significant numbers were a large contingent
of Sikhs (there to demonstrate against Al-M) The Sikhs turned
up and promptly nicked the NF's pitch by the National Gallery.
A small number of fascists arrived, mostly in threes and fours,
and looked rather forlorn, both at their own organisation
and the Sikhs "Sikh, British and Proud" flag!
Without
clear leadership the NF contingent, bolstered by the Ulster
British Alliance, remained disjointed, but the very large
police presence in and around the Square prevented any clashes.
At this point the only danger was that some anti-fascists
might die laughing at the particularly thick fascist who insisted
on regaling us with information about the NFs plans, and even
when told he was talking to anti-fascists refused to believe
them. He will go far!
With
police numbers increasing and the potential of being blocked
in rising, it was time to shift. Having taken a short break
for refreshments, about 35 anti-fascists returned to the Square
to find the fash had now got their act together but were split
into two separate groups. This included a contingent from
a group called the United British Alliance (mostly football
hooligans) who claim to be non-racist. Indeed it has been
suggested by the NF that their number includes non-whites.
We did not see any on the day, and when we approached their
picket of about 60 lads, amongst the loyalist chanting were
several cries, in our direction of "race traitors".
So much for them not being racists!
Having
been shifted on by a large contingent of cops it was time
to present our credentials to the NF, who mustered about 30-40
strong. Again they chose to stay behind the police barriers.
By now the cops had more than lost their patience with us,
and we were forced out of the Square to Charing Cross station,
pausing only to swap rounds of applause with the Sikhs. All
in all the day went reasonably well, in what was one of Antifa's
first outings.
Some
lessons from the day:
Turn up on time. More people arriving later in the day has
less impact than large numbers being present at the start.
Be calm but purposeful - it was perfectly possible to get
close to the opposition and look them in the whites of their
eyes. If you want to stand behind barriers with the cops,
go and join Unite Against Fascism.
Bring a friend. We need more people at these events - they
are regularly out numbering us. Fighting fascism involves
more than sitting about talking.
Expect to be stopped and searched by the police. Don't carry
anything you would not want to be found with.
Finally a big thank you to the guys who came down from Leeds
- it is nice to meet some anti-fascists from the city who
aren't the usual Searchlight compromised clowns!

Tomek
Wilkoszewski was jailed in March 1996. He's been deprived
of his freedom for more than five years. According to the
verdict of the local court he must spend ten more years in
prison. What did he do to deserve such a sentence?
Tomek
comes from a little village near Radomsko (a typical small
town in central Poland). He was a good student and was finishing
a technical highschool. He wanted to continue his studies
afterwards. He was working to pay for his studies. He had
never been convicted before and had never been in contact
with the Police before that fateful day of March 1996. But
he ran out of luck:
First,
there was a nazi-skinhead group in Radomsko who was trying
to rule the town. The assaults and the bullying were daily
occurences that were overlooked by the Police and the local
authorities.
Most of the time "strangers" would be attacked,
i.e. newcomers like Tomek who was driving to Radomsko each
day. Someone who had been beaten by a band of these nazis
went to the police and he was told: "If you weren't looking
for fights, you wouldn't have been beaten. You should stay
quiet." Tomek had been a victim of the attacks several
times. Once, someone tried to pick out one of his eyes.
What
happend next was nothing more than the logical consequences
of this situation: With no help to be found, the terrified
youngsters tried to defend themselves. The death of a young
man was no more than a part of this tragedy (after one of
those fights, a nazi-skinhead died from loss of blood while
waiting for an ambulance).
Second,
Tomek was accused of the murder. As he had often been assaulted,
he had a motive and, according to a few witnesses, he had
a knife. This so-called crime instrument, which was used as
evidence by the prosecution, has been subject to no examination
or investigation that could unequivocally confirm the accusation.
During the judical procedure there were a number of similar
uncertainties, but that wasn't taken into account by the Judge
who at that time bowed to the pressure of public opinion which
was asking for the most severe penalties.
Third,
the prosecution and the Judge wanted to demonstrate something.
The fifteen year verdict and the lesser sentences given to
the eight other defendants were outstandingly severe. The
witnesses of this judicial process were outraged by the justification
of the verdict which "should have an educational function
for the convicted as well as for the entire underworld!"
No extenuating circumstance was recognized and Tomek received
one of the highest penalties in Poland. But on the other hand,
nazi-skinheads, or other criminals would get away with eight
years verdict for murder with premeditation and were out of
jail after four years. This is what this justice is about:
high penalties for the nonconformists and the poor who can't
afford a good lawyer and mild penalties for the Mafia and
the thugs.
But
Tomek had also a bit of luck. Anarchists Black Cross and other
anti fascist groups got interested in his case. Polish TV
transmitted a movie called "Riot", and the biggest
Polish newspaper published a long article. about the case.
While being interviewed for a newspaper as well as in front
of the cameras, the nazis would tell openly about their actions
of cleaning the town of all kinds of strangers. These two
documentaries were quite highly publicised across Poland,
but were ignored by the court. In the prison he managed to
finish his secondary school, he got a job and the prison authorities
have a good opinion of him. After four years Tomek's supporters
managed to have the appeal trial (kasacyjna) held. It happened
on 27 September 2000, but it was dismissed by the Court for
buerocratic reasons.
Unfortunately
until now, all requests for parole passes have been denied.
In current situation the only chance for getting Tomek parole
passes, chances to study or change his prisoner-status would
be with legal help from a lawyer. However, the costs are beyond
our capabilities. you can send letters, fanzines, tapes, CDs.

News from Poland
The
following is taken from issue 18 of Warhead, an Anarchist
publication from Bialystok in eastern Poland.
ANTIFA
5 trial continues
Trial
of 5 anti-fascists from Bialystok framed into assault on nazi
activist continues. 5th hearing in court didnt bring much
changes, except from fact that statements by this nazi idiot
are becoming more and more like from Monthy Python movies.
Next hearing is on 14th of July, but obviously trial
will not end yet.
Trial
of Lapa- part two
Lapa,
anti-fascist skinhead from Bialystok, sentenced to 1 year
of prison for GBH charges after participating in fight with
nazis, made an appeal. Finally judge decided to return his
trial to the beginning. On first hearing of new trial there
were few nazis from Blood & Honour and other group but
Antifa was also present and finally nazis withdrew before
end of trial. Next hearing will be at the end of August, because
not all witnesses were present.
Skirmishes
There
were two serious skirmishes with nazis in last month. On the
beginning of June about 15 nazis attacked open air breakdance
show in centre of the city. After punching few people they
were succesfully repelled by combined effort of few antifa
members and hip hop fans. At least 3 nazis were seriously
injured, including their boss. 2 of them got captured and
photographed, but then cops came and rescued them from angry
crowd. In first days of July few anarchists and anti-fascists
fell in trap made by 12-15 strong group of Mlodziez Wszechpolska
members (youth group of fascist/populist LPR party). After
short but intense fight where bricks, pepper sprays and chains
were used, both groups run to separate directions. 3 antifas
and unknown number of fascists (at least 2) were injured.
No people got arrested although cops initially wanted to detain
one of antifascists.

Southend
BNP Provide The Comedy
A sunny Southend evening and the fash are in town. Not just
any knuckle dragging, bullshit spouting fash, but the "cream
of fascist organisations" (thick and full of clots!)
- The BNP and Nick Griffin, due to give a talk to the local
biggots.
Our
tale is set on the crossroads of Victoria Avenue, The Golden
Lion being their (not so secret) re-direction point. We found
ourselves in a boozer having a pint or two, sat where we had
a fairly decent view of the events unfolding outside. On one
side of the road was the unite demo (or as one inebriated
punter in the pub declared "a load of people waving cheese
boards"!) There were a group of around eight boneheads
suited and booted standing on the opposite corner. There were
a fair number of fash in and around the area. Suddenly a brawl
kicked off on the aformentioned corner where two guys seemed
to be setting about the well dressed group. Took a moment
for this to really register, we didnt know these, brave (maybe
even bordering on psycho) anti-fash. The brawl spilt into
the road, boneheads in suits legging it and two bleeding brawlers
heading straight for us. The latter of the two was just about
to grab his victim when he.....oooopsss....slips, forgets
to put out his hands and lands in the road on his face.
That had to hurt.
He
pulls himself to his feet in a daze and staggers on to the
pavement. It is now that the plot thickens. Grabbed by the
old bill outside the pub and arrested for assault he begins
to spit at a photographer and give the bird to the unite protest.
We watched from the pub, tried to get a photo (sorry, no luck!)
then spotted a second beaten bonehead just up the road in
a similar state to the first.
Drinking
up, we went to meet up with some other comrades, and had a
quick look round the area for the dispursed group but no luck
so went to the pub for a de-brief. It became clear, when we
spoke to others, that they had seen the same scum rowing with
his so called comrades earlier in the evening outside the
meeting. It is now that it starts to dawn on us that what
we may have witnessed was in fact an in-fight, a bad case
of road rash and the arrest of the local BNP organiser, Matt
Single.
Laughed our bollocks off. Nothing nicer than seeing a trail
of Nazi blood and flesh in the road and not having to lift
a finger! I can hear the chant now...Nazi scum (spread!!)on
our streets!
Sometimes
anti-social. Always anti-fascist.

Disturbing
accusations have continued to emerge about the 1999 nailbomb
attacks in London. These centre around suggestions that either
David Copeland did not act alone, or more specifically that
he was known to the police before the third, fatal attack
in Soho. Evidence also exists that the police were following
Copeland until shortly before he detonated his third bomb.

Retreat by Dave Hann and Steve Tilzey (Milo Books, £7.99)
This
review originally appeared in Issue 86 of Class War –
spring 2004.
Well
it had to happen. Go into any book store and you can find
dozens of titles written by old lags recalling their time
as Reggie Kray’s chauffeur or Charlie Richardson’s
enforcer. Virtually every football club has had at least one
“ex-hooligan” publish his memoirs of terrace terror.
Two jokers who never even were football hooligans, Dougie
and Eddy Brimson, even manage to make a living writing such
books.
No Retreat is the first attempt by two anti-fascists to put
down on paper their memoirs. Hann and Tilzey were both involved
with Anti Fascist Action, probably the most successful anti-fascist
group the UK has ever seen. This book is however very much
their work not AFA’s. Indeed many ex-AFA members have
been quick to point out that Hann and Tilzey were both estranged
from AFA before the groups eventual collapse. Hann left Manchester
after a court case where he was found not guilty of robbing
a gay man, Tilzey was widely deemed as an untouchable due
to his work for Searchlight magazine, and by implication the
security services.
But
what of the book itself? Tilzey is a better writer than Hann,
and outlines militant anti-fascism in Manchester in the late
70s, along with his own coming of age, skilfully. His gradual
alienation from the SWP, and their crass approach to any working
class people in their orbit is hardly surprising, but sending
someone a letter expelling them when they are actually in
jail for fighting fascists is a low blow, even for the SWP.
As
the 80s wear on, Tilzey outlines his move towards working
with the Searchlight organisation, and his interest in developing
intelligence on and photographing fascists. Given the long
term record that organisation has of buggering about with
the left as much as the right, it is perhaps not surprising
that Tilzey stops his story in 1989 – we are left to
conclude that much of the other stuff he was involved in was
so dodgy that he cannot even bring himself to discuss it.
Then again given Tilzey’s friendship with Searchlight
mole (and admitted security services operative Tim Hepple)
he was probably not allowed to say anything more if the book
was to get published.
Dave
Hann leads us through a succession of brawls and battles.
Whilst useful to be reminded of how much AFA believed in the
old guerilla warfare maxim of only fighting the battles you
can win, he misses out, deliberately, so much of the politics
that was in and around AFA, and that really led to its success
in the UK and across Europe. Surely the fights took up a minority
of the time compared to that spent leafleting, writing, picketing,
intelligence gathering, reading, putting on gigs, debating?
Not in this account.
Worse by naming names of certain activists, and details of
events that are in some cases very recent, he gives away some
scraps to the enemy. That is for him, and his conscience to
justify.
Recapping
events can always lead to errors in detail, and Hann is very
guilty of this. When discussing an AFA mobilisation in Leeds,
he accuses Leeds AFA of dithering, waiting for the perfect
opportunity to attack the BNP. Perhaps, but a member of Leeds
AFA later admitted that on one occasion he had actually led
activists away from a confrontation with fascists, on the
instruction of Searchlight.
Indeed
with Searchlight getting increasingly discredited in the anti-fascist
movement they threw a bone to their critics in 1995, informing
anti-fascists of the arrival of a mini-bus load of London
fascists into Leeds. Oddly Hann chooses to take the credit
for the subsequent attack himself, insisting it was his own
personal drive and ambition that ensured the BNP were attacked.
Searchlight do not get a mention at all. Curious.
When
Hann describes an AFA activity in Bolton as a success with
no arrests (an activist arrested that day was actually jailed)
cynical readers may well conclude that these are not all innocent
mistakes but someone pushing a particular agenda.
Thousands of people made a contribution at some stage to AFA
and they deserve better than this.
At
the time of writing it is unclear if a history of AFA, written
by some of the final members of the organisation, is to be
published. If so, we hope to see an honest appraisal of some
of AFA’s lows (Bermondsey 1991 anyone?) and some of
AFA’s highs. And there were many.

Anti-Fascist Report
In
the week that saw Mark "do you want to see my botty"
Collet's motor get trashed, Bnp muppets in Barnsley got a
bit of a shock as they tried to march in the town for the
first time ever.
Early
on in the day a small but committed group of anti-fascists
confronted three Bnp members. These three toilets had their
banner in a bag however our heroes were unable to retrieve
the offending article as the fash ran straight to the nearest
pig van squealling for assistance.
The
good news is that one of our intrepid few managed to spank
a retreating rightist square on the back of the head. As the
humbled hater dropped to his knees he recieved a well timed
boot straight up his 'weeto'.
After
standing around listening to Trots telling them to re-elect
the fascists already in power instead of the BNP, as well
as hearing some sincere messages of anti-racism, anti-imperialism
and other good stuff the group noticed the fash re-grouping
a little further downt' road.
Establishing
that the correct military term for their planned manouvere
was a 'bridgehead' our team resolved not to let the fascists
pass when they started to march.
However
the po-leese had different ideas and demanded from high on
their horses that all decent anti-fascist folk vacate the
city centre or suffer the full punitive force of the law for
breach of the peace.
Informed
by the filth that the Fash would not be allowed to march for
fear of public disorder our heroes, sort of satisfied that
there was little else to do except get nicked, retired to
the boozer.
Over
pints they congratulated themselves and shared their dreams
and aspirations of a world ruled by none with freedom and
cooperation unlimited.

News from Sweden - In Salem (a short distance outside Stockholm)
fascists hold a march every 7th of December in memory or a
nazi skinhead who was killed here 3 years ago. Last year the
fascists where about 1600 people, this year it was maybe 2000
of them and about 1200 of us. The plan was to hold the train
station befoer the fascists arrived and beat the living shit
out of them, but the police where also there to fight. 2 antifascists
where arrested for rioting. 11 antifascists and 4 police officers
where send to hospital. We never had the chance to kick some
nazibutts but the same night the house of a nazi burned down.
There is always next year!

Searchlight
for Beginners
Anybody involved in anti-fascism for more than five minutes
will encounter the monthly "international ant-fascist
magazine" Searchlight. There is a lot more to Searchlight
than a monthly magazine. They have a virtual monopoly on media
stories about the far-right in the UK, in both the print and
TV media. They regularly meet with, and exchange information
with the police, security services and government officials.
Whatever Searchlight is, it is not what it says on the tin.

Fascists in Sweden - Report
150
people from the fastest grooving fascist party National Demokraterna
(ND) held a meeting in gothenburg 27th of april. About 500
local antifa kids had earlier met up in a park, although the
information about the fascist meeting came just a couple of
days before. When the fascists arrived they where attacked
immediately by the antifa kids but as always, the police spoiled
our fun...
The
cops forced the antifacsists to the other side of a canal.
During the boring speech by some British fascist (Julie Russell)
from the BNP, other antifascists had their fun with some confused
fascists on the wrong side of the canal.
